Jurnal Ilmiah Islam Futura (JIIF) has been published by Center for Research and Publication, Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M/LPPM) in cooperation with Graduate Program of State Islamic University of Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, since 2001 (Vol.1, No.1, August 2001 edition). The journal is published two times per year (2 Number / Volume), ie the August issue (No. 1) and the February issue (No. 2), which is focused on the development of Islamic Studies (Dirasah Islamiyah) through library research or field research. The publication of this journal is dedicated to enrich the wealth of Islamic sciences that has been developing at the present time. Since 2011 (Vol.11, No.1, edition August 2011), the Journal of Islam Futura has been published in a new format, both physical appearance (which follows the UNESCO standard and Standard Operating Procedure which is adapted to the demands of scientific journal in the present time. This journal provides the widest possible opportunity for various groups to actively participate in the development discourse of Islamic sciences. Through the publication of Journal of Islam Futura, the development of Islamic sciences is expected to take place collectively, involving various related disciplines. This attempt can be either integrated (integrated) by presenting a variety of approaches and scientific methods that are relevant to the needs of each of these disciplines. Thus, every discipline of Islamic Sciences will complement each other and can enrich the wealth of Islamic sciences in a comprehensive and integral way. Journal of Islam Futura academic mission in developing various Islamic sciences studies based on "Islamic perspective". Islamic perspective is "how-view" oriented to the values of Islam, which is the methodological foundation for the entire discipline of Islamic sciences. Historically the Islamic perspective has colored the intellectual life of the Islamic community, as reflected in the views of scientists and thinkers past (classic). The perspective has evolved in Islamic discourses on eras thereafter, and may be expanded continuously to the present and the future. The historicity of the development is a necessity along with the intellectual demands of the Islamic community in real life that increases dynamically.
