The Jurnal Ilmiah Al-Mu'ashirah: Media Kajian Al-Qur'an dan Hadits Multi Perspektif is published twice a year, in January and July. Since the 2023 edition, our journal has implemented a continuous publication model, enabling articles that have completed the review and editing process to be published online immediately, without waiting for the completion of the full issue.

All articles are assigned to their respective volumes and issues based on our regular schedule: January–June (Issue 1) and July–December (Issue 2). This model follows the guidelines of the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) and ARJUNA (National Journal Accreditation), promoting flexible publication practices with complete metadata to facilitate faster access and broader dissemination of scholarly work.

Focus and Scope

Jurnal Ilmiah Al-Muashirah: Jurnal Media Kajian Al-Qur'an dan Hadis Multi Perspektif is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by the South East Asia Regional Intellectual Forum of Qoran Hadith (SEARFIQH) in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Filsafat, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, Indonesia.

FOCUS: The journal focuses on the development of Qur’anic and Hadith studies from multiple perspectives, covering topics such as classical inquiry of the Qur’an, tafsir, and hadith.

SCOPE: This journal specializes in the theories and practices of Qur’an and Hadith studies, and is open to original research and current issues. General topics include:

Ulumul Qur'an
History of the Qur'an
Living Qur'an
Ulumul Hadith
History of Hadith
Living Hadith

Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts are subject to rigorous double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Manuscripts are assessed for originality, significance, methodology, and ethics. Reviewers recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to all content, following the Budapest Open Access Initiative. Users are free to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts without permission. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Ilmiah Al-Mu’ashirah is published twice a year, in January and July. Since 2023, a continuous publication model is applied: articles are published online immediately after passing review and editing, then assigned to the relevant issue (Jan–June or July–Dec). This model follows DOAJ and ARJUNA guidelines.

Plagiarism and Similarity Screening

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity index over 25% are rejected. Authors must ensure originality, proper citation, and avoid all forms of plagiarism or self-plagiarism.

Publication Ethics

The journal follows COPE guidelines for publication ethics. Authors, editors, and reviewers must act with integrity and transparency. Authors must submit original research, accurately report results, disclose conflicts of interest, and include only those who contributed significantly as co-authors. See Publication Ethics

Reference Management

Manuscripts must use reference management software (such as Mendeley) and follow the journal’s prescribed citation style.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

No fee for article submission (IDR 0). An APC of IDR 2,000,000 is required only after the article passes initial pre-review and is eligible for full peer-review.

Additional fees based on submission language:

Translation fee of IDR 750,000 for manuscripts submitted in Bahasa Indonesia.
Proofreading fee of IDR 500,000 for manuscripts submitted in English.

50% waiver policy for articles with exceptional scholarly merit.

Authors retain copyright. All published works are licensed under CC BY 4.0, allowing free use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect objectivity or integrity of the research and publication process.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors are discovered, authors must promptly notify the editors for retraction or correction. The journal follows COPE guidelines for corrections and retractions.

Journal History

Jurnal Ilmiah Al-Mu’ashirah has been published since 2004 by SEARFIQH, in collaboration with the Faculty of Ushuluddin and Filsafat, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh.
