Author Guidelines

TYPE OF PAPER

EKOBIS welcomes original research papers, conference/seminar/workshop papers, and case studies in Indonesia and English.

CRITERIA

Submitted papers should meet the internationally accepted criteria, and manuscripts should follow the journal's Author Guidelines. Articles should be written in Microsoft Word format (Doc, Docx, or Rtf) and submitted electronically by logging in to our website via OJS.

ARTICLE

Articles should be between 5000 - 10000 words long, excluding references, appendices, tables, and figures. In general, a paper should consist of the following:

  1. Title. The title should be concise and specific.
  2. Name and affiliation. All submitted papers should be accompanied by short biographies of the author(s): the author/s' full name, place and date of birth, education, occupation, address, and affiliation, along with a valid email address.
  3. Abstracts. Abstracts of 150-250 words are required for all articles submitted.
  4. Keywords. Each article should contain a minimum of 3 keywords.
  5. Introduction. The introduction should consist of background, research problem, objective, and hypothesis (if any).
  6. Literature review. This part covers previous research and theoretical studies employed to build the research framework.
  7. Methodology. It comprises research design, data collection techniques, and data analysis.
  8. Result and discussion. This part discusses the research findings based on data analysis. The researcher should analyze and link the data to the theoretical framework.
  9. Conclusion. The last part of the article should consist of a conclusion and suggestions or recommendations.
  10. Citation. EKOBIS utilizes in-notes (body note) format using APA 6th-full name citation style. The author is required to employ citation software (such as Mendeley, Endnote, Zotero, and so on). REFERENCE

It is placed in the very last part of the article. It should be referred to the resources cited in the article. The writing should comply with the following examples:

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The writing format follows the article template provided, including font type and size, space, table and illustration and their insertion, and other technical formats. 
  5. As the manuscript will be blind reviewed, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
