This study examines why the principle of human equality is a major factor in the acceptance of Islam in Southeast Asia and how this value is disseminated through social and cultural interactions. The study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods based on historical and conceptual analysis of relevant literature and historical documents, both primary and secondary sources. Data was collected through literature searches, critical reading, and thematic recording, then analyzed interpretively using the Theory of Islamization and the Theory of Human Equality as the analytical framework. The results of the study show that the spread of equality values took place through three main channels, namely trade, social relations (marriage and community), and cultural-spiritual channels through the role of scholars and Sufi networks. The egalitarian principles of Islam are manifested in inclusive worship practices, economic ethics that emphasize justice and honesty, and da'wah that is adaptive to local cultures. These values shape social experiences that encourage the peaceful acceptance of Islam by various segments of society. The implications of this study confirm that human equality is the foundation for the formation of a moderate and tolerant form of Islam in Southeast Asia, as well as the development of da'wah strategies that uphold human dignity.
