AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Guidelines for the writing of articles at Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah can be seen as follows:

  1. Articles are the author's original scientific work and have never been published or are in the process of being published by other media;
  2. The focus area of Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah is publishing articles based on research, project reports, book reviews and new concepts on the development of Islamic societies based on an in-depth literature review;
  3. Editor of Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah received scientific articles relating to the development of Islam in various aspects;
  4. Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah accepts in the fields of Islamic society, Islamic microfinance, disaster, poverty reduction, social welfare, entrepreneurship. gender, and development. The goal is to disseminate new concepts and research findings developed in this area of study by publishing relevant peer-reviewed scientific information and discussions. The main aims are to promote best practices in advancing sustainable community development and highlight research key findings to develop better Islamic community development;
  5. Articles must be in accordance with the surrounding style and journal template;
  6. The author must submit an article that reviews the actual themes within the scope of Islamic community development, shows the sharpness of analysis, the updating of references, and no plagiarism. The author must fill in the form for the authenticity of the articles;

The article's systematics are:

  1. TITLE: SUB TITLE (Sub Title is written if needed), The article title must be 16 words at most. The simpler, the better;
  2. Author's name (without academic degree), affiliation, and e-mail address;
  3. Abstracts are written both in English and Indonesian. They are 200 to 250 words covering background, goals, methods (specifically for field research) and scientific findings or results;
  4. Keywords are containing conceptual words of the article (3-5 words of phrases) written alphabetically and separated by semicolons (;)
  5. Introduction contains background, purpose or scope of article, and state of the art. Introduction should contain important values and interesting of the article; 
  6. Discussion: Literature study/library research is divided into several sub-sections, depending on the characteristics of article. For articles from field research, the discussion format is Method, Results, and Discussion. Article references in the body of the manuscript using footnote according to the need of article. If the reference book/article consists of one to three people, then all author names are written in the note. However, if the authors are more than three people, then the first author’s name is written and added with dkk.
  7. Conclusions: The conclusion is no more than one page. It should be concise, clear, and not a copy-paste writing from the body of the manuscript, nor raises the question again;
  8. Bibliography: The bibliography contains only referenced sources. Preferred library sources are primary sources in the form of research books, scientific articles in the latest scientific journals and magazines (the last 10 years), and research report of theses and dissertations. Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah requires the submitted article to contain at least 40% bibliography consisting of articles in scientific journals.

Articles can be written in Indonesian and English;

Articles submitted to Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah have been written in Papers A4 (Width: 21, Height: 29,7), Margin (Top: 2,5 cm, left: 3 cm, Botton: 2,5 cm, Right: 2,5 cm), Font Goudy Old Style 12 pt, 1 space ranging in length from 15-25 pages, Words between 6.000 to 8.000;

The article submitted to Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah has been written using the Mendeley manager reference application with Format Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note);

The articles submitted through online submissions must contain the articles file and the academic biographical data;
