Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The following guide will help authors preparing the manuscript to be submitted to Jurnal Edukasi:

1. Manuscript is based on research reporting the result of the interest of practitioners in Education Science and Educational Counseling in Indonesia or any other parts of the world.
2. Non-Research manuscript needs to provide full report associated with the aspects education science and educational counseling. Manuscript based merely from literary reviews will be less considered, unless it is regarded as an artistic piece composed comprehensively by author whose expertise is well known in the field of study.

THE MANUSCRIPT
1. Submitted writing must adhere to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition (APA 6th).

2. The submitted writing should be in Microsoft Document file format and should be between 5000-7000 words, using Times New Roman Font; size 12pt; with 1,5pt line spacing.

3. Illustrations, tables, and diagrams must be followed by caption and number based on the order of appearance in the manuscript using center align.

4. Any special request such as notification letter confirming submission must be communicated directly to the managing editor via this email address: jurnaledukasi14@gmail.com followed by attaching author curriculum vitae.

5. Abstract and keywords are required upon submission. Make sure that it is already been checked for writing errors before filling the abstract and keyword form. Your abstract should:
Written in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Provide a synopsis of the entire article.
Starts with the broad context of the study, followed by specific background for the study.
Describe the purpose, methods and procedures, core findings and results, and conclusions of the study.
Emphasize new or important aspects of the study.
Engage the broad readership of ELT and be understandable to a diverse audience (avoid using jargon).
Be a single paragraph of less than 200 words.
Not contain citations or uncommon abbreviations.
6. Keywords must be between 3-6 words in both English and Bahasa Indonesia

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
