ANALISIS PERILAKU TOXIC RELATIONSHIP PADA REMAJA FATHERLESS

Abstract: This study aims to analyze toxic relationship behavior among fatherless adolescents. Adolescence is a crucial phase in the formation of identity and social relationships. However, the absence of a father figure can lead to emotional imbalance and involvement in unhealthy relationships. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with informants aged 19 years who live in Gembongan Village, Cirebon Regency, have experienced toxic relationships, and come from fatherless families. The results show that the fatherless condition affects low self-esteem, emotional dependency, and the inability to set boundaries in relationships. These findings highlight the importance of emotional support and education on healthy relationships for adolescents who have lost a father figure. A deep understanding of these dynamics is needed as a basis for designing preventive interventions to maintain the mental health and psychosocial development of adolescents.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku toxic relationship pada remaja fatherless. Masa remaja merupakan fase krusial dalam pembentukan identitas dan relasi sosial. Namun, ketidakhadiran figur ayah dapat berdampak pada ketidakseimbangan emosi dan keterlibatan dalam hubungan yang tidak sehat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap informan berusia 19 tahun yang tinggal di Desa Gembongan, Kabupaten Cirebon, serta memiliki pengalaman dalam hubungan toxic dan berasal dari keluarga fatherless. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi fatherless berpengaruh terhadap harga diri yang rendah, ketergantungan emosional, serta ketidakmampuan menetapkan batasan dalam hubungan. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya dukungan emosional dan edukasi mengenai relasi sehat bagi remaja yang kehilangan figur ayah. Pemahaman mendalam terhadap dinamika ini dibutuhkan sebagai dasar perancangan intervensi preventif demi menjaga kesehatan mental dan perkembangan psikososial remaja
