PENGARUH AGAMA DALAM TRADISI MENDIDIK ANAK DI ACEH: Telaah terhadap Masa Sebelum dan Pasca Kelahiran

Abstract

Tradisi mendidik anak dalam masyarakat memiliki pola tersendiri. Pola pendidikan anak cukup dipengaruhi oleh nilai-nilai keislaman. Hal ini dapat dimaklumi sebab karakter dan identitas masyarakat Aceh yang mencerminkan keselarasan antara Islam dan adat. Hal ini terlihat dalam hadih majah (pepatah); “hukom ngon adat lagee zat ngon sifeutâ€, artinya hukum [agama] dan adat, seperti zat dengan sifatnya, tidak dapat dipisahkan. Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang tradisi mendidik anak sebelum kelahiran yang meliputi; ba boh kayee (membawa buah-buahan), jak me bu (membawa nasi) dan peuramin (pergi piknik). Sedangkan sesudah melahirkan yaitu: koh pusat (memotong pusat), azan dan iqamah, tanam adoe (menanam plasenta), peucicap (memcicipi), cuko ok (memotong rambut), boh nan (memberi nama), peutron aneuk (menurunkan anak) dan aqiqah. Tradisi mendidik anak tersebut perlu dilestarikan karena terbukti mampu melahirkan karakter anak yang bertauhid, berakhlak baik, bertutur kata yang sopan, sehat serta cerdas.
