Muhammadiyah, as one of the largest organizations in Indonesia, attracts the attention of researchers from various fields, including historiography, sociology, and anthropology. Different leadership eras within Muhammadiyah have resulted in changes in the organization's orientation. This paper aims to examine the paradigm shifts within Muhammadiyah, ranging from the modernist movement to tajdid and the purification movement. With a more structured and systematic approach, this research will illustrate the evolution of paradigms within Muhammadiyah.
Abstrak
Muhammadiyah, sebagai salah satu organisasi terbesar di Indonesia, menarik perhatian para peneliti dari berbagai bidang, baik historiografi, sosiologi, maupun antropologi. Masa kepemimpinan yang berbeda-beda dalam Muhammadiyah telah menghasilkan perubahan orientasi organisasi ini. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perubahan paradigma dalam organisasi Muhammadiyah, mulai dari gerakan modernis hingga tajdid dan gerakan purifikasi. Dengan pendekatan yang lebih terstruktur dan sistematis, penelitian ini akan menggambarkan evolusi paradigma dalam Muhammadiyah.
