Author Guidelines
The manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Kompetensi should be an original one that never been published before. Any manuscripts being processed by Kompetensi should be not under consideration for publication in other journal or publication until there is a notification from Kompetensi editorial board.
Kompetensi: Jurnal Pendidikan dan pembelajaran is open access and peer-reviewed journal which provides a forum for publishing research or review articles related to researches in instruction, learning and teaching, curriculum development, learning environment, teacher education, educational technology, Islamic education management, Islamic education, early childhood education and educational development.
The length of article is 4000-6,000 words including all pictures, tables, nomenclature, references, etc. Please make the page setting of your word processor to A4 format (8.27x 11.69 inches); with the margins: bottom 3 cm (1.18 in) and top 3 cm (1.18 in), left 3 cm (1.18 in) and right 2.5 cm (1.47 in). For the body of the paper, please use Garamond 12, 1,15 spacing.
The contents of the paper should be in the following: (1) title of paper, (2) author names and address, (3) abstract, (4) keywords, (5) introduction, (6) discussion and analysis, (7) conclusion, (8) acknowledgement (if any), (9) bibliography.
- Title, The title must represent the entire content of the article, while Sub-title represent detailed information, describe the main title and should not be more than 15 words
- Writer, Writer full name of author without a degree, the institution where the writer works or studies, and the author's e-mail address. (Align Text Left, Garamond-Italic, 12, single spacing)
- Abstract, Abstract should be between150-250 words, written in English with Garamond font, single spacing, Text Justify. Abstract should be clear, descriptive, and should provide a brief overview of the problem studied. Such as the discourses of the discipline area; the aims of article; methodology (if any); research finding; and contribution to the discipline of areas study.
- Keywords: written in the five maximum important concepts that explain the main ideas of the article
- INTRODUCTIO, In introduction inform the problem of study, use theories. The length of introduction is 1000-1500 words.
- METHOD, Method consists of description of research type, data collection, data source, data type, and data analysis. It is written in a paragraph form. The length of method is 500-1000 words.
- RESULTS AND DISCUSSION, Inform a number of important data (original) field which obtained from the questionnaires, surveys, documents, interviews, observations and other data collection techniques. It can be completed with table or graphic to clarify the result. Presenting the data that has been interpreted and analyzed by a specific technique and has been processed by the specific theory (also from researcher idea). The length of results and discussion is 2500-3000 words.
- CONCLUSION, Write succinctly and clearly the result of research then describe the logical consequence in developing science and praxis of Islamic education.
- ACKNOWLEDGMENT, It is used as a thanking expression from authors to official institution or persons that act as a donor, or contribute to the research. It is completed by research letter of contract.
- REFERENCES, Write a number of references that are cited and really written/quoted in the text from primary sources, (80% taken from scholarly journals, 20% other supporting sources) and were published no later than in the last 10 years. All references should be typed in the same format as texts following the APA 6th style. Author(s) are strongly encouraged to employ a reference application or software such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, Reference Manager, etc.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The manuscript (and its substance) has not been previously published and is not currently being considered for publication by another journal.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in template.
- All references and citations adhere to the APA format.
- The submission file is in standard Microsoft Word document file format (.doc or .docx).
- Submitted manuscript (the submitted file) adheres to the blind review policy, whereas the name or any related identity of the corresponding author has been removed from the text in the submitted file.
