Author Guidelines

The following guidelines are provided to assist authors in preparing manuscripts for submission to Psikoislamedia: Jurnal Psikologi (PJP).

  1. Originality and Publication Ethics
Manuscripts must represent the author’s original scholarly work and should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration by any other journal or publication outlet. Each submission will undergo plagiarism screening to ensure academic integrity.

  2. Scope and Focus
The manuscript should address topics related to Psychology or Islamic Psychology, particularly those relevant to Islamic contexts and societies. Submissions that integrate contemporary psychological theories with the principles and practices of Islamic Psychology—especially in Indonesia and other Islamic countries—are highly encouraged. (See Focus and Scope for further details.)

  3. Manuscript Quality and Theoretical Rigor
Authors are expected to present research that demonstrates analytical depth, methodological soundness, theoretical relevance, and an updated review of scholarly literature. Manuscripts must reflect originality, clarity, and contribution to the field of Psychology or Islamic Psychology.

  4. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized according to the following structure:

    • Title

    • Author’s Name (without academic titles), Affiliation, and Email Address

    • Abstract in both English and Indonesian (maximum 150 words each)

    • Keywords (3–7 words)

    • Introduction

    • Method

    • Results

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • References

  5. Formatting and Reference Style
Submissions must adhere to the journal’s official manuscript template and follow the formatting guidelines therein. References should be managed using Mendeley (or equivalent software) and formatted according to the APA Style, 6th Edition.

  6. Language and Transliteration
Authors are required to follow the Arabic–Indonesian transliteration system as regulated by the Joint Decree of Three Ministers (SKB 3 Menteri).

  7. Template and Submission
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts conform to the official PJP article template before submission.
