Jurnal Peurawi is published by the UIN Ar-Raniry Postgraduate Program in Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (S2) in Banda Aceh. This journal is published twice a year in April and October. The Peurawi Journal is concentrates on communication research, practice, policy, and theory, bringing to its readers the latest, broadest, and most important findings in the field of communication studies. The Peurawi Journal also features an extensive book review section and the symposia of selected studies on current issues.
Jurnal Peurawi is one of the media journals of Islamic communication studies that contribute to increasing scientific knowledge of Islamic communication and broadcasting, based on open-access, publishing communication research-based integrating the science of communication and da'wah. Peurawi Journal collects and encourages communication writers or scientists to conduct research while mediating the publication of quality, local, national and international.
Peurawi means a person who bridges, traces and narrates information from the prophet to be conveyed to his people. Naming Peurawi intended to convey messages of propaganda and communication to the reader. The messages examined, published in this journal form an academic attitude that is religious. Based on this meaning, the journal initiating team gave the name "Peurawi". With this symbolic meaning, Peurawi can arouse the motivation of researchers, reviewers, and scientists propaganda and Islamic communication can publish these ideas in this Jurnal Peurawi.
