Focus and Scope

Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan Focus publishes scholarly articles on Education Science in general and elementary education, based on researches and project reports, book reviews. Scope Jurnal Pionir accepts submission in the field of Education Science in general and elementary education to help spread new insights and concept, as well as highlights best-practices by and for many Islamic educational practitioners, teachers, lectures, and various education policy makers in the field.

Peer Review Process

Pionir Journal manuscript submission must be done electronically or by following the steps in the submission process in the Open Journal System provided in this journal site. Registration is required prior to submitting in the OJS portal. Editors will assign reviewers with the same interests. The review process uses Double-Blind Review Policy, whereas both the author's and the reviewer's identity will be kept anonymous.

Publication Frequency

This journal is published biannually in January-June and July-December.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Publication Ethics Statement

Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan accepts submission in the field of Education science focusing on the science of Islamic education and elementary school to help spread new insights and concept, as well as highlights best-practices by and for many Islamic education practitioners, teachers, lectures, and various education policymakers in the field.
Publisher Responsibility:
1. Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan as scientific journal publisher responsible to publish article after the process of editing, peer review and layouts in accordance with the rules of scientific journal publishing.
2. Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan responsible to guarantee academic freedom of editor and reviewer in running their job.
3. Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan responsible to keep privacy and protects intellectual property and copyright as well as editorial freedom.

The Editor Responsibility:
1. The editor of Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan responsible in deciding articles to be published through an editorial council meeting. The editor is guided by policy council and journal editorial restricted by valid law concerning defamation, copyright violation and plagiarism.
2. In the process of articles acceptance, editor team works based on similarity treatment.
3. In the process of journal review and a decision of publication (articles), the editorial team does not discriminate any races, sexes, religions ethnic, citizenship, or ideology of political writer.
4. Editor and editorial team will not open any information about manuscript or article except there are permits from authorship.
5. A manuscript (articles) that is not published after proposed would not be used as research by an editor and will be returned directly to the author.

Responsibility of the author:
1. The Author should present an article or research results clearly, honestly, and no- plagiarism, and manipulation of data .
2. The author responsible to confirms articles that have been proposed and written.
3. The writer must obey requirements of publication in the form of original paper, no-plagiarism, and has never been published in a journal or other publication.
4. The author must show reference of opinion and other literature being quoted.
5. The author must write a manuscript or article by carrying ethic, honest and responsible as the valid scientific authorial regulation.
6. The author is prohibited to send similar articles to more than one journal or publication.
7. The author has no objection if article being corrected without changing basic idea or substance of article.

Reviewer by Partnership:
Reviewer helps editor in making decisions on received article.
1. Reviewer responsible to give a recommendation on reviewed article.
2. Review of a script is done objectively and supported by clear argument.
3. Reviewer maintain the secrecy of information for personal gain.

Scientific Statement

The articles published in Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan are scientifically proved, which follow the code of ethics in scientific publication. The code of ethics itself upholds three values of ethics in publications, namely, (1) Neutrality (free from conflicts of interest in public management). (2) Justice (giving the right of authorship to the beneficiary as the author). (3) Honesty (free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in the publication. The articles published also following certain procedures or orders, such as review and revision process that consistent with the journal’s regular review, to ensure that the quality is maintained properly.

Author and Editing Fee

This journal does not charge for any submission, editing process, and publication of the manuscript. The published manuscript will be able for viewing and download from this journal portal. However, we will charge the printed version and postal service fee upon personal or institutional requests.

Content Licensing, Copyright and Permissions

Pionir Jurnal Pendidikan uses license CC-BY or an equivalent license as the optimal license for the publication, distribution, use, and reuse of scholarly works.

This license permits anyone to compose, repair, and make derivative creation even for commercial purposes, as long as appropriate credit and proper acknowledgement to the original publication from Jurnal Ilmiah is made to allow users to trace back to the original manuscript and author.

Readers are also granted full access to read and download the published manuscripts, reprint and distribute the manuscript in any medium or format.

Overlapping Publications

Authors should not submit the same manuscript, in the same or different languages, simultaneously to other journal. All articles that have submitted to Jurnal Pionir is belong to the journal. Authors who attempt duplicate publication without such notification should expect at least prompt rejection of the submitted manuscript. If the editor was not aware of the violations and the article has already been published, then the article might warrant retraction with or without the author’s explanation or approval. All the Jurnal Pionir contents may rewriting as long as for educating purposes by mentioning source. Meanwhile for other intention should be approved by editor.

Archiving

Open Journal Systems supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure secure and permanent preservation of your journal. You have several options for including your journal in a LOCKSS network:

Any OJS journal that has an ISSN and has published at least one article can choose to agree to the terms of use and be preserved in the PKP PLN at no cost.

To join, go to Generic Plugins, find PKP PLN Plugin, select Enable, and then select Settings, and accept the Terms of Use. Your content will then be automatically included in the network. No further action is required.
