BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF ISLAMIC FINANCE: A REVIEW FROM A SCOPUS DATABASE PERSPECTIVE

Abstract


This research aims to analyze literature reviews in the field of Islamic finance using the Scopus database approach which takes 231 publications and then analyzes them using the bibliometric analysis method and the VOSviewer softwarre. The data taken was refined into 139 publications. The research results show that 2023 will be the year with the most journal publications, namely 21 articles and with the highest number of citations, namely 221 times in 2014. And publications have spread across all continents, namely America, Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe. America, Indonesia, United Kingdom (England), Saudi Arabia and Malaysia are the most influential countries and have high cooperation with other countries. The main conclusion of this research is that Islamic Finance is a financial market segment that is experiencing rapid growth and creating a fair financial and economic order, while promoting transactions that are in accordance with Islamic moral and ethical principles based on the Koran and Al Hadith. Increasing demand for sharia financial products and the development of Islamic financial institutions are increasingly receiving attention. This research provides a deeper understanding of the development of Islamic finance research, identifies centers of excellence in the literature, and identifies the development of current research trends and to provide a basis for researchers, practitioners and academics in exploring the development of Islamic finance research more effectively in the future and encourage growth and innovation in Islamic finance.
