في تعليم الاستماع ينبغي للمعلم أن يستخدم الوسائل التعليمية ليسهل ويساعد المعلم في إيصال المعلومات ونجاح عملية التعليم، وكانت الوسائل التعليمية آلة مهمة ليسهل الطلبة الحصول على الفكرة والمعلومات الجديدة ويسهل الطلبة على فهم درس اللغة العربية. وهذا النوع من الوسائل هي الأقراص التي تستخدم بدلا من الأشرطة. و يطرحها المعلم على الطلاب بهدف تعميق فهمهم للنص المسموع وتختلف هذه الأسئلة التفصيلية عن التدريبات اللغوية التي تصاحب النص كما يتضح لنا لاحقا.
