Following are the author guidelines for TAFSE: Journal of Qur'anic Studies, presented in a format that aligns with international academic (Scopus) standards, based exclusively on the provided document.
TAFSE: Journal of Qur'anic Studies is a scholarly journal focused on the field of Qur'anic studies. Authors are expected to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure their manuscript meets the journal's standards for publication.
2.1. General Formatting
File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
Length: The total length of the article must be between 4,000 and 6,000 words.
Layout: The manuscript must be typed on A4 size paper (21 cm x 29.7 cm) with 3 cm margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).
Font and Spacing: The main text must use a 1.15 line spacing. The font for Latin script should be Times New Roman size 12 , and the font for Arabic script should be LPMQ Isep Misbah 12pt.
2.2. Title, Author, and Affiliation
Article Title: The title should be a maximum of 15 words , typed in Times New Roman 12 pt, centered, and bold.
Author Information: The author's name should be written without academic titles , in Times New Roman 12 pt, centered, and bold. The author's affiliation should be listed directly below the name in Times New Roman 12 pt and centered.
Contact Information: The first author's email address is required and must be centered. A valid WhatsApp number is also mandatory.
2.3. Abstract and Keywords
Abstract Language: The abstract must be written in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Abstract Format: The abstract must not exceed 200 words and must be written with single line spacing.
Abstract Content: The abstract must be structured to systematically include:
The research problem.
The research questions.
The methodology.
The research findings and analysis.
A brief summary of the author's interpretation and conclusion.
Keywords: A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords must be provided. Keywords should be italicized.
2.4. Manuscript Structure The body of the manuscript must follow the structure of Introduction, Result and Discussion, and Conclusion.
Introduction: This section should present the research problem , the key issues being investigated , the study's objectives, and the writing method. It must provide readers with the necessary context, situate the problem in relation to existing theory and research, method, and define the scope of the study.
Result and Discussion: This section contains the research findings and their detailed discussion. Findings must be supported by adequate data and should be directed at answering the research questions or hypotheses. The discussion must refer to primary and current sources, particularly scholarly journal articles from the last 10 years. If classical primary sources are used, they must be supported by contemporary sources.
Conclusion: This section should provide a summary of the main points from the discussion and analysis. It may also recommend new areas for future research. A single, well-developed paragraph is sufficient for the conclusion.
3.1. Citation Style
Authors are required to use Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note) for all citations. This includes using footnotes for in-text citations and a bibliography at the end of the manuscript.
3.2. Reference Management
The use of reference management software, such as Mendeley, is mandatory for managing citations and generating the bibliography.
3.3. Source Requirements
The manuscript must cite a minimum of twenty primary sources.
The bibliography must be sorted alphabetically.
References should consist of at least 80% primary sources , with a strong preference for works published within the last 5 years.
