MITIGATION OF RISK MANAGEMENT FINANCING ON BANK JATIM SYARI’AH
Abstract
This article aims to find the characteristics of financing risk management at bank Jatim Syari'ah, one of the state-owned Islamic banks with total assets of 400 trillion. Because in the last ten years the increase in NPF (Non Performing Finance) in Islamic banks tends to increase. The research was conducted at the Bank Jatim Syari'ah, for reasons of the size of the service area, the large number of customers, and the amount of financing provided. The research was conducted using qualitative methods, collecting data by interviewing the financing committee and bank management, as well as analyzing financing documents for the 2015-2019 period. The results of this study include: Bank Jatim Syari'ah, which provides financial services to 40 million residents of East Java, can create a mechanism for handling non-performing financing so that it can be reduced below 2.35%. Handling NPF at Bank Jatim Syari'ah uses several solutions, namely: debt restructuring, debt scheduling, non-litigation dispute resolution and litigation. This mitigation measure can suppress NPF growth in the future and reduce bank losses.
