IDENTIFICATION OF BIOLOGICAL EDUCATION STUDENT MISCONCEPTIONS THROUGH STUDENT TEACHING VIDEO ANALYSIS

Abstract


Mengetahui keberadaan miskonsepsi pada peserta didik adalah hal penting, apalagi pada mahasiswa calon guru. Pandemi Covid 19 membatasi aktivitas pembelajaran, sehingga dibutuhkan kreativitas pendidik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan miskonsepsi mahasiswa melalui analisis video mengajar. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi PSDKU Universitas Syiah Kuala Gayo Lues yang memprogram mata kuliah pengajaran mikro tahun akademik 2020/2021 sebanyak 14 orang.  Setiap mahasiswa diminta membuat sebuah video rekaman mengajarnya berdurasi 20-30 menit. Video tersebut selanjutnya dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan miskonsepsi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 36% dari jumlah mahasiswa mengalami miskonsepsi, dimana materi sel merupakan materi dengan angka miskonsepsi tertinggi (60%). Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa video rekaman mengajar mahasiswa dapat dijadikan instrumen untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan miskonsepsi pada peserta didik.
