Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Didaktika (JID) employs a Double-Blind Peer Review system to ensure objectivity, fairness, and high-quality publication. In this system, both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities remain anonymous to prevent potential bias, such as based on nationality, institutional affiliation, or reputation. This policy follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.

All manuscripts submitted to JID must comply with the journal’s focus, scope, and author guidelines. The manuscripts should demonstrate originality, relevance, scientific merit, and novelty within the field of education. Before being sent for review, all submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin software.

Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improving the quality and clarity of the paper. The review process typically takes two to four months, depending on the number of submissions and the complexity of the manuscript.

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the Editor-in-Chief or the editorial board will make a decision from one of the following options:

  • Accept Submission

  • Revisions Required (Minor or Major)

  • Resubmit for Review

  • Resubmit Elsewhere

  • Decline Submission

If necessary, the editor may assign the manuscript for a second round of review before making the final decision. The publication schedule and order of accepted papers are determined by the Editor-in-Chief, considering the acceptance date, thematic issue, and geographical distribution of authors.
