Author Guidelines
Submission Guide for Authors
- This journal is published two editions annually in January and July. Each issue features only 8 selected articles.
- Articles must be research-based, original, and have not been published or sent to any other media. Authors must confirm this via the submission checklist.
- Content must relate to Islamic Education themes. Translated manuscripts are not accepted.
- Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia, English, or Arabic, fulfilling the criteria of correct academic writing.
- The length of the article should be 3,000 to 6,000 words, single-spaced, using Times New Roman size 12 on A4 paper (2 cm margins on all sides).
- Blind Review Policy: Authors must remove any identification (names and email addresses) from the manuscript file.
- All submissions must be processed through the JIE OJS portal.
Abstract Requirements
A high-quality abstract should follow these criteria:
— Provides a complete synopsis of the entire article.
— Starts with the broad context followed by the specific background of the study.
— Clearly describes the purpose, methods, core findings, and conclusions.
— Emphasizes new or important aspects of the study.
— Written as a single paragraph of less than 250 words.
— Does not contain citations or uncommon abbreviations.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items:
| 1. | The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration. |
| 2. | The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or RTF document file format. |
| 3. | Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. |
| 4. | The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points. |
| 5. | The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. |
| 6. | Instructions for Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed, and author identification has been removed. |
