ROE Moderates Temporary Syirkah Funds to SMEs Financing: Empirical Study On Bank Syariah Indonesia

Nur Fani Arisnawati

Abstract

This study aims to show the impact of temporary shirkah funds on SMEs financing and return on equity as moderation variables in Bank Syariah Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, secondary data was obtained from Bank Syariah Indonesia's quarterly report on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period and SMEs financing data was obtained from IDX.  Data processing with MRA using the Eviews 9 application. The results of the analysis showed that the variable of the Temporary Syirkah Fund had a partial effect on SMEs financing with a significance of < 0.05. However, return on equity cannot moderate the impact of the Temporary Syirkah Fund on SMEs financing from Bank Syariah Indonesia. Become a reference for further researchers to further develop SME financing research. And provide information to the Government because SME financing by Islamic Banks must be fully supported because SMEs play an important role, including the real sector, in improving the Indonesian economy.
