التعبير أهم الوسيلة في إكساب الدارسين اللغة والاكتساب منهم لها لأن به يدربهم المدرس على استعمال وفهم اللغة. ولما كان التدريب اللغوي شرط أساسي في نمو اللغة عند دارسيها. وليكون التدريب ناجحًا أن يشبع الحاجات والرغبات ويوفر المواقف المناسبة للتدريب على المهارات اللغوية. فما التعلم إلا هو ممارسة. إذ يسير فيه المعلم والمتعلم لإتقان بعض مجالات التعبير بوضع أساليب التدريب اللازمة والأنشطة اللغوية والممارسات اللازمة لتحقيق هذه الأهداف ثم تحديد ما سيفعله المدرس وما يفعله الطلاب.
