Bahasa Arab adalah salah satu bahasa pergaulan dan komunikasi yang dipakai secara resmi di dalam hubungan dan interaksi internasional dan khususnya di lembaga-lembaga internasional seperti Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB). Hal ini membuat bahasa arab berinteraksi dengan bangsa-bangsa lain yang mempunyai latar belakang budaya, bahasa dan peradaban yang berbeda. Kondisi ini menyebabkan terjadinya take and give (saling memberi dan menerima) dan saling mempengaruhi antara satu bahasa dengan bahasa lain. Interaksi ini menjadikan bahasa arab mengadopsi berbagai kata dan istilah asing ke dalam bahasanya. Pengadopsian ini sering disebut dengan istilah ta’rib (arabisasi). Akan tetapi, bangsa arab sebagai mayoritas pemakai bahasa ini sangat berhati-hati dalam melakukan arabisasi terhadap istilah-istilah dan kata-kata asing. Arabisasi yang dilakukan tetap didasarkan pada tingkat signikansi dan kepentingannya terhadap bahasa mereka. Dalam hal ini, mereka membuat dan menyusun metode dan cara-cara tertentu yang menjadi pedoman dalam melakukan arabisasi. Hal ini dilakukan untuk tetap menjaga eksistensi dan kemurnian bahasa arab sebagai bahasa pergaulan dunia dan sekaligus bahasa agama (al-qur’an dan hadits).Downloads
