This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics

PETITA: Jurnal Kajian Ilmu Hukum dan Syariah is law journal publishing research results, legal theory, legal philosophy, constitutional law, legal debate, socio-legal, and other recent issues relating to case law. The journal basically establishes to provide the debate on current law issues in Indonesia, having very dynamic law and a lot of plural issues, such as on human rights, international laws, Sharia law, constitutionality of parliamentary products, law and politics, and electoral justice. The articles from worldwide are cordially considered to publish as long as fulfilling all of submission requirements. Petita is issued two times a year, April and November. The deadline submission for April period is in 28 February, and 30 September for November period.

Editor Responsibilities:

  1. Petita’s editors have responsibilities to decide feasible articles. In implementing journal policies, Petita’s editor is supervised by editorial board, and also obeying all of law related to copy rights, plagiarism, moral and ethict.
  2. In reviewing article Petita’s editors do not distinguish racial and skin colour, sex, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, and author’s political ideology.
  3. Editorial board will unpublish author’s information, with the exception of having permission from the author.
  4. Unselected article will be returned if only requested by author. The editors will not use unselected article without any prior persmission from the author.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  1. Reviewers support editor in term of making decision on the article received by editors;
  2. Reviewers have fully responsible to the article which will be recommended to publish or unpublish;
  3. In reviewing articles reviewers has clear argument on why the article can strongly be published;
  4. Reviewers have responsibility to citation, reference, and plagiarism on a reviewing article;
  5. Reviewers must be unpblished the personal information of author, without any prior permission from the author.

Author Responsibilities:

  1. Author must submit article based on original thought or research result, with principle of honesty, no plagiarism, no data manipulation, and have not been reviewing in other journal or publications;
  2. Author needs to quickly respond on the confirmation of article which will be published;
  3. All of quotation must be cite in the original source using the Petita’s reference system.

Publisher Responsibilities:

  1. As publisher Petita has responsible to publish article through editing process, peer-review, layout based on requirement in scientific journals;
  2. Petita has responsible to guarantee a freedom of expression for author, editor, and reviewer;
  3. Petita has strong commitment to protect privacy, intellectual property rights, copy rights, and editorial freedom.
